Dr. Sulaiman Al Sakran is a distinguished Saudi academic and financial expert with extensive experience in finance and economics. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Houston in 1995, after completing his MBA in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Management from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in 1987 and 1985, respectively.

Dr. Al Sakran began his academic career as an Associate Professor in the Economic and Finance Department at KFUPM from 1995 to 2004. He later served as the Secretary General of the Higher Education Fund between 2004 and 2015. Since 2015, he has been an Associate Professor of Finance at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz University.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Al Sakran has held various leadership and advisory positions in governmental and private sectors. He has been involved in numerous committees and holds several board memberships. Notable roles include his positions in the Walaa Cooperative Insurance Company, Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company, and Takween Advanced Industries Co. He serves on audit committees and as an independent board member, reflecting his expertise and influence in the financial and industrial sectors.
