Walid Chamma has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and debt markets. He currently serves as Head of Debt Solutions at MEFIC Capital in Riyadh, leading the private debt platform in Saudi Arabia aimed at providing flexible debt products to GCC companies. He also oversees debt advisory services to help companies optimize their capital structure through financial restructuring, refinancing, and liability management. Prior to MEFIC, Walid worked at Alvarez & Marsal and Houlihan Lokey in financial restructuring, with notable transactions involving Saudi Binladen Group, Fawaz Al Hokair, Cenomi Centres, Abraaj, and Dana Gas, restructuring over SAR 100 billion in debt. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in London within the generalist M&A department before moving to Mubadala in Abu Dhabi to work in the technology and semiconductor sector M&A. Walid holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Imperial College.
